Elon Musk announced on Friday that Twitter, or what is now known as X Corp., has a new CEO. She will begin in around six weeks however, he did not give her name. Twitter was purchased by Musk last autumn, and since then, he has been running the firm. Musk has insisted he is not the companys long-term CEO. The Tesla billionaire said in a tweet on Friday that he will now serve as executive chairman and chief technical officer of Twitter.Musk declared that he will be taking care of the new role as executive chair and CTO.The announcement was made through Musks Twitter handle. He wrote, “Excited to announce that Ive hired a new CEO for X/Twitter. She will be starting in ~6 weeks! My role will transition to being exec chair & CTO, overseeing product, software & sysops.”The information was released shortly after Twitters departing CEO announced the addition of another update that would provide verified users early access to an encrypted chat service. The business tycoon revealed on Wednesday that users could now use emojis in direct message replies to any message in the thread. In addition, Twitter will soon make voice and video chat available on its platform for improved communication.On May 10, taking it to Twitter, he wrote, “With the latest version of the app, you can DM reply to any message in the thread (not just the most recent) and use any emoji reaction. The release of encrypted DMs V1.0 should happen tomorrow. This will grow in sophistication rapidly. The acid test is that I could not see your DMs even if there was a gun to my head.
