Tech news: The ban on Apple iPhone in Indonesia has now been lifted. The sale of iPhone 16 in Jakarta has recently started. The ban was imposed by the Indonesian government in October last year, when Apple showed failure to follow local regulation. Under that regulation, it was mandatory to manufacture 40% of the smartphone locally. Apple signed an agreement with the Indonesian government, finding a solution to this problem. Now, the company has ensured that it will invest in Indonesia to complete the local regulation there. After this agreement, the sale of iPhone 16 has resumed.

Customers wave of happiness

The removal of the ban has caused a wave of happiness among Indonesian consumers. 34 -year -old IT Consultant, Albert WongSo said, "Now we can buy iPhone directly from Indonesia, which will give us the benefit of warranty and service." He said that he was thinking of buying the iPhone 16 Pro model to replace his old iPhone 11, because there were problems of warranty when buying phones from foreign countries.

Big win for apple

Indonesia's Industries Minister Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita reported that Apple has also promised to set up a semiconductor research and development center in the country, which will be the first center of its kind in Asia. In addition, the company has decided to build two new factories with an investment of $ 150 million. One factory will be built in Western Java, where Apple's accessories will be produced, while the other factory will be in BATAM, where Airtags will be built.

Apple's move in Indonesian Market

This step can prove to be important for Apple, as 280 million people live in Indonesia, which is a large consumer market for the company. Apart from this, this decision will also strengthen Apple in competition with other Asian countries. The Indonesian government has also planned to relax the regulation of the information and communication technology, which can be even more beneficial for Apple.

Ban on google pixel too

Apart from Apple, Google Pixel smartphones are also banned in Indonesia. This ban has also been implemented due to non -compliance of local regulation, due to which people are unable to buy Google's pixel phones.

This change may be an indication for Apple and other tech companies that they improve their strategies under local regulation and increase investment.
