Apple's 'Scary Fast' Event: After much speculation surrounding an Apple product announcement, the tech giant has unveiled the date for its upcoming event.

Unlike previous events that typically started with a "Good morning" from Tim Cook, this one seems poised to be different.

Apple's "Scary Fast" Event: Details Revealed

Apple shared an invitation for its "Scary Fast" online event, set for October 30 at 5 am PT. The event appears to be primarily focused on Mac-related announcements.

Notably, the Apple logo on the invite transforms into the Finder icon from macOS. The name "Scary Fast" has sparked expectations of a potential release featuring the M3 chip.

M3 MacBook Pro at the Centre Stage

Renowned Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo expressed his belief that the media event's focal point will be the M3 series MacBook Pro. He suggests that Apple's aim is to stimulate MacBook shipments, which saw a decline in 2023.

Kuo elaborated, stating that Apple may opt to introduce the M3 series MacBook Pro despite lower production volumes compared to the M2 series. The M3, theoretically, promises a more substantial boost in computing power.

Testing the M3: 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pros

Apple has reportedly been testing the M3 Max and M3 Pro versions of the 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pros, as reported by Bloomberg's Mark Gurman in August.

Additionally, Apple has been planning an M3 iMac for some time. However, Gurman suggests that major changes beyond the chip upgrade are unlikely.

The Anticipated Apple Silicon Debut

The fact that Apple is hosting an event rather than opting for a simple press release indicates that the announcement is likely significant.

The prospect of a third Apple silicon, the M3, seems highly plausible at this juncture. Nevertheless, one can only be certain once Apple makes the official announcement.

How to Watch in India

For Apple enthusiasts in India, the event will be available for streaming at 5:30 am on October 31. You can watch it live on Apple's official website and its YouTube channel.

Upcoming Quarterly Results

Notably, Apple is set to release its quarterly results on November 2. This marks the first time the company will do so in November since 2018; typically, the financials are released in late October.
