On Tuesday, Apple introduced its newest and most affordable Pencil. However, the third Pencil from the tech giant is not a successor to the first two but a completely new version, a USB-C variant.
Apple says the new Apple Pencil USB-C delivers the same precision, low latency, and tilt sensitivity as the Pencil 1st Gen and Pencil 2nd Gen, and is ideal for note-taking, sketching, writing, and more, notes etc.
Apple Pencil USB-C will be available from November for Rs 7,990. For education customers, the new Pencil will be priced at Rs 6,990. Educational pricing is available to current and newly admitted students and their parents, as well as to faculty, staff, and home students at all levels.
The new Apple Pencil will be compatible with all iPads with a USB Type-C port.
This means the Apple Pencil USB-C works with iPad (10th generation), iPad Air (4th and 5thgeneration), 11-inch iPad Pro (1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th generation), iPad Pro 12.9 inch (3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th generation) and iPad mini (6th generation).
The new Apple Pencil comes with almost all the features offered by Pencil Gen 1 and Pencil Gen 2. Including similar precision, low latency, and tilt sensitivity. In addition, the new Pencil integrates well with the Apple ecosystem and supports all the same applications as the other two Pencils.
The new Apple Pencil works well with iPadOS features like Scribble, Quick Note, and when collaborating with others in Freeform. When combined with iPad Pro M2 models, the new Apple Pencil supports hover, allowing users to draw and illustrate with even greater precision.
