Why did Sundar cite '3 Idiots' ?

While answering one of the questions of the YouTuber, Pichai said that he believes that real success comes from knowing things more deeply. Explaining it further he cited one of the scenes of Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan's starrer '3 Idiots' where Rancho defined a motor to the professor.  In this scene from Rajkumar Hirani's film, Aamir Khan's character Ranchordas Shyamal Das Chanchar nicknamed Rancho is asked to define a machine, to which he responds with a basic, obvious explanation rather than one that has been memorized.
