AC cooling issue

Tech News. As soon as the month of April knocks, the heat starts showing its effect in many parts of the country. People initially try to get relief from fans and coolers, but in the scorching heat of May-June, the air conditioner becomes the only reliable option. Meanwhile, many users complain that their AC is no longer giving the same coolness as before. The most common reason behind this is considered to be the low gas of the AC, which directly affects the cooling efficiency.

Cooling capacity is affected due to lack of gas

According to experts, a common reason for AC's cooling becoming weak is the reduction in the amount of gas. This problem is seen in both window and split ACs. If the gas level decreases, the AC is not able to cool the room properly.

These gases are used in AC in India

There are mainly three types of gases used in the Indian market – R22, R410A and R32. Among these, R32 gas is the most popular, as it is more energy efficient than other gases and is also considered relatively safer for the environment.

How much gas should be in 1.5 tonnes AC?

A 1.5 -ton air conditioner usually requires 1.5 to 2 kg of refrigerant gas. Its volume depends on the model and brand of air conditioner.
In addition, it is also determined according to the type and quality of refrigerant gas.

Problem and cost of gas leakage in AC

If there is a gas leakage in your AC, it becomes necessary to refill it. The cost of refilling gas in a 1.5-ton AC typically ranges from ₹2,000 to ₹3,000. However, this cost may vary slightly according to the city, technician's fee and type of gas. It is very important for the AC to work properly in summer. If your AC is not giving enough coolness, it may be a sign that there may be a shortage of gas. In such a situation, it is important to get the AC serviced in time and check the condition of the gas, so that you can get relief in the summer.
