 Red Beach of Hormoz

The clip began to go viral some days ago but was initially shared on February 22 on Instagram by a tour guide. The viral clip features intense rain washing red soil down to the beach. When it gets mixed with the sea, the water becomes crimson as well. The beginning of the heavy rain of the well-known Red Beach of Hormoz," the guide explained in Persian and captioned the stunning video.

Phenomenon or have tossed around theories of severe weather change

"Serasima tourists watching this rain is wonderful," he said. Though most have termed it an unexplained phenomenon or have tossed around theories of severe weather change, the reality is not that complicated. This extraordinary scene is caused by the region having a certain kind of soil.

Iranian Tourism Board

As per report the Iranian Tourism Board, this phenomenon occurs because of the prevalence of a lot of iron oxide in the ground, making the ground glow a bright red colour. The sea water also combines with the minerals present in the ground, and the resulting beauty is an eye-catching reddish glow in the beach.

Glory be to God

"Blood rain! I am just jking; this is what occurs when rain drops on red sand that is full of iron oxide minerals, which gives the impression of blood rain," another clarified.Glory be to God". What a beauty. Yes, God is the best painter of both worlds," a user commented on the original Instagram video."Is this where red dye 40 comes from," another joked.
