India created history yesterday (August 23) when its Moon Mission- Chandrayaan-3 successfully landed on the lunar surface. Since then the entire globe has poured in congratulations to the country and ISRO (Indian Space Research Organisation). Meanwhile, a bizarre statement on the mission by Rajasthan’s minister of Youth Affairs and Sports, Ashok chandana is now hitting headlines as he ‘saluted all the passengers who went to the Moon.’ Yes! He did.

Rajasthan Minister Ashok Chandna slip on Chandrayaan-3

Speaking to the media, Chandna said, “We were successful and made a safe landing. We salute the passengers who have gone.”

Notably, Chandrayaan-3’s lander Vikram carries a rover, Pragyaan and there are no passengers on it. India’s third lunar mission is not a ‘human’ space mission. Amid his slip, the netizens are now mocking the minister for thinking Chandrayaan-3 has human passengers in it.

In a tweet, the state minister also extended his congratulations to the ISRO scientists for making this success possible.

Chandrayaan-3 successfully lands on moon’s surface

Chandrayaan-3 successfully landed on the south pole of the moon on Wednesday at 06.03 pm. With this, India became the first country to land on the Moon’s south polar region.

The ISRO officially declared the successful landing in a post on X, saying, “‘India, I reached my destination and you too!’: Chandrayaan-3.”
