At least 15 people, including a police officer and five home guards, died due to electrocution in Uttarakhands Chamoli district on Wednesday. According to initial reports, the incident happened after the transformer got exploded, electrifying a bridge. The bridge is the part of Namami Gange Project and spans over the Alaknanda River.Around 15 people including a police sub-inspector & five home guards have died. The investigation is underway. Those injured in the accident have been sent to the nearest hospital for treatment. A magisterial inquiry has been ordered into this unfortunate incident.
