The Uttarakhand police have arrested three people in connection with the electrocution which killed 16 people on July 19 in Chamoli district. According to the officials, the arrests in electrocution at the Namami Gange Project site have been made.
“16 people died due to electrocution, following which we registered a case. After our preliminary investigation, we have arrested three people,” says Uttarakhand Police on deaths due to electrocution at the Namami Gange Project site in Chamoli.

Six people who got injured were airlifted to AIIMS Rishikesh for treatment, while others are being treated at the district hospital in Gopeshwar, which is 10 km away from the accident spot.
