UP: 24 shops gutted after massive fire engulfed at Firozabad's Kath Bazar

After fire broke out at Kath Bazar in UP’s Firozabad, fire tenders were immediately deployed to scene and started operations to bring the blaze under control.

In Uttar Pradesh’s Firozabad, at least 24 shops were gutted after a massive fire broke out in the Kath Bazar area early this morning (October 29), said the officials.

Further, the official informed that there were no immediate reports of any injuries or casualties in the fire incident.

Briefing about the blaze, Sarvesh Kumar Mishra (SP City) said that they received the information about an hour ago that a fire broke out in the Kath Bazar area where furniture work is carried out.

"It was a big fire...The fire is yet to be controlled. The area has been evacuated. There is no information on any casualty yet. Around 24 shops have been gutted in the fire," SP Mishra said.

Fire tenders deployed

Upon receiving the information, the fire tenders were immediately deployed to the scene and started operations to bring the blaze under control.

However, the cause of the fire is still being investigated, said the officials.
