The Allahabad High Court has previously ordered that modern technology be used to identify the age of the alleged “Shivling.” The mosques administration, on the other hand, claims that the structure is a component of a fountain in the wazu khana area, where ablutions happen before namaz. The scheduled scientific survey of the “Shivling” has been postponed for the time being, as agreed upon by both the Centre and the Uttar Pradesh government.
