Four arrested for urinating, beating Class 12 student in Meerut

Uttar Pradesh Police filed complaints against seven individuals and arrested three in connection with the case.

A heinous crime has been reported from Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, where a class 12 student has been assaulted and being urinated on the face by a group of young men. The crime was reported soon after video got surfaced on the internet.

In one of the videos, a person is shown beating up a student in a deserted area that went viral, while two accomplices watch on and captured the video. The student begged the man to stop attacking him, but the attacker kept hitting him on his head and back. A second individual in the video can be seen urinating on the student's face in another video.

Uttar Pradesh Police filed complaints against seven individuals and arrested three in connection with the case.
The miscreants have been identified as Avi Sharma, Ashish Malik, Rajan, and Mohit Thakur. However, the identities of the others are unknown. Meanwhile, three of them were taken into custody by police on suspicion of involvement in the November 13 incident.

As per preliminary investigation and statement of victim’s father, the student was taken to the deserted place and was attacked. Since the student did not came back, the family searched for him throughout the night. But the victim reached home next morning and narrated the incident to the family. Following which, a compliant was forwarded to the police.

The family has alleged that a case has been registered under sections of IPC. The investigation is the case is underway.
