PM Modi all set to inaugurate Ayodhya airport & railway station on Dec 30

The Airport Authorities of India has developed the Ayodhya airport at an approximate cost of Rs 350 crore.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to inaugurate both the Maryada Purushottam Shri Ram International Airport and the re-developed Ayodhya railway station on December 30, 2023. This is a significant event for the city of Ayodhya, as it will improve its connectivity and boost tourism, potentially leading to economic growth and development.

According to the sources, IndiGo has announced the inaugural flight from Delhi to Ayodhya on December 30, marking the official opening of the airport and from January 6, 2024 onwards, the flights will be available on the daily basis. The flights will also connect Ahmedabad with thrice a week service. The Airport Authorities of India has developed the airport at an approximate cost of Rs 350 crore. 

In addition to this, the Ministry of Railway has spent more than Rs 150 crore for the re-modelling of the railway station to enhance the passenger’s experience. 

Whereas on the other hand, the entire renovation project is projected to be completed by December 31, the first phase is complete and ready for the Prime Minister's inauguration.

This double inauguration is being seen as a major push for Ayodhya's development, aligning with the ongoing construction of the Ram Temple in the city that is expected to attract more pilgrims and tourists, leading to increased economic activity and job creation.
