Following the discovery of Das’s lifeless body, Police and forensic experts were quick to arrive at the scene and begin their investigations. They are now searching for an individual named Umesh Shukla, son of Rishabh Shukla, who lives in the same complex and is considered a suspect. According to the police, the suspect is currently on the run.

Moreover, the CCTV cameras on the premises of the ashram were also found to have been switched off by the police. This marks the second time such an incident has taken place at the Hanumangarhi complex within a month. Earlier this month a Naga Sadhu had killed himself by suicide in the same area.
