A day after the religious slogan - ‘Jai Shri Ram’ was found written on a mosque's walls in Aligarh, a Samajwadi Party delegation met the police superintendent seeking action.

The troubling incident occurred at the city's Dehli Gate intersection. Following this, SP leaders and workers submitted a memorandum to the Superintendent of Police (City) office demanding stern measures against those disrupting communal harmony.

Minister Manoj Yadav, part of the delegation, alleged anti-social elements had tarnished Aligarh's environment through such activities. He threatened protests if the miscreants were not immediately arrested.

Pathak added that video footage helped identify those involved, and swift action would be initiated against the accused.

The prompt police complaint and ministerial delegation highlight concerns over tensions triggered by the inflammatory action.
