Two devotees who had come for darshan on the occasion of Radha Ashtami festival in Barsana, Mathura on Saturday have died of suffocation. The accident occurred on Saturday morning during the Abhishek-puja at Ladliji temple.According to the sources, at least 2 lakh devotees had come for darshan on the occasion of Radha Ashtami. During the puja, the devotees who arrived in large numbers started making noise after feeling suffocated due to heavy crowd. Meanwhile, a stampede broke out and two devotees died of suffocation and many became unconscious.The police have taken the bodies of the deceased into custody and the remaining people are being evacuated from the premises safely. After the incident, administrative officials have reached the spot.
