UP: Speeding truck rams into parked bus, 6 killed, 25 injured on Gorakhpur-Kushinagar highway

A speeding truck hits a bus that was parked close to Jagdishpur on the Gorakhpur-Kushinagar Highway in Uttar Pradesh late on Thursday night, resulting in up to six fatalities and twenty-five injuries.

Shailesh Patel (age 25), Suresh Chauhan (age 35), Neetesh Singh (age 25), and Himanshu Yadav (age 24) are the confirmed deaths; the identities of the other two are yet unknown.

A flat tyre occurred on a private bus transporting over thirty passengers from Gorakhpur to Padrauna, according to sources. After parking the bus, the driver asked for another one to pick up the passengers. The bus was then struck from behind by a fast truck.

Due to the collision's extreme force, some 25 individuals suffered serious injuries and two people died on the spot. Four people lost their lives while receiving emergency care at the Sadar hospital, where the injured were sent right away.

Officials from the SP City and other agencies came at the spot after getting the information. Physicians from the district hospital and medical college have also been notified by officials, and they have visited the location.
