In a tragic incident, a woman died just after delivering a baby at a private nursing home in Uttar Pradesh which is allegedly not registered with the health department said the officials. Allegedly, the doctors who delivered the baby were practising without any valid medical degree, they added.Amid this heart-wrenching incident, the health department along with the local police have initiated a probe into this matter.Mother dies after delivering baby at private nursing home in UPSpeaking to the media, Deputy Chief Medical Officer JC Saroj said the newborn is alive but the doctor has allegedly fled from the spot.“Ritu Devi, 22, wife of one Virendra Kumar was admitted at a private nursing home on Friday. The doctor at the hospital, Sailesh Saroj, delivered her baby after surgery on Saturday. The woman died after the surgery. The newborn is alive.” he briefed the media about the incident.Nursing home not registered to health departmentFurther, the deputy CMO said that the nursing home was not registered with the health department.During the preliminary investigation, the doctor, identified as Sailesh Saroj was also found to be practising without any valid medical degree, he added.What happened nextAfter the victim was killed during her surgery, Sailesh reportedly asked the other patients who were admitted at the nursing home to leave and fled from the spot, the deputy CMO said further.Police were also preparing to send the womans body for post-mortem examination. An FIR has been registered against the doctor, he said.
