In Uttar Pradeshs Bareilly, a group of Kanwariyas (pilgrims) blocked a national highway as one of them was injured after being hit by a vehicle on Saturday.What happened on SaturdayBriefing about the incident, Deputy District Magistrate (Meerganj) Udit Pawar said that a Kanwariya, identified as Arjun, suffered injuries after being hit by a car while returning from Haridwar.The injured pilgrim was rushed to the hospital immediately. The police have seized the vehicle and initiated a probe into this matter.Kanwariyas blocked traffic on national highwayMeanwhile, a group of pilgrims blocked traffic on the National Highway-24 demanding strict action against the driver of the vehicle.Later, the road was cleared and traffic resumed after almost two hours following assurance of swift action by senior officials.
