While the 30-year-old husband died the same day, the 27-year-old succumbed at a hospital in Gorakhpur on Friday, said Basti SP Goyal Krishna said on Saturday.According to the SP, the couples relatives alleged that the wife was gang-raped by the two men in her house on the intervening night of September 20 and 21.Before committing suicide, the couple recorded a video in which they revealed the names of the accused behind this incident, the police said.2 accused arrestedBased on a complaint by the brother of the deceased man, an FIR was registered against the two men under Sections 376 D (gang rape ) and 306 (abetment to suicide), Krishna said.The accused duo- Adarsh (25) and Triloki (45)- have been arrested and an investigation is underway,” he added.The deceaseds kids told police that when they were getting ready to go to school on Friday morning, their parents told them that they had consumed poison and were going to die, the police said.The couple has three children, two sons aged 8-years-old and 6-year-old and a 1-year-old daughter, they said.As per the preliminary investigation, the rape incident is linked with the sale of land owned by the deceased, they added.
