A heart-wrenching incident took place in Uttar Pradesh after a tempo van riding passengers were overturned, resulting in the killing of two women devotees and 13 others were injured, said the police.
Briefing about the incident, Additional Superintendent of Police (West) Rohit Mishra told the media that the accident took place on the Lalganj-Kalakankar road near Bhabhaura village when around 15 persons were going from Sangramgarh to Baba Ghuisarnath Dhaam.
According to the ASP, the driver of the tempo van lost control and the vehicle overturned, injuring all the passengers, including three children and the driver.
The injured persons were immediately taken to a nearby hospital in Lalganj, where they declared the two women identified as Seema and Komal- both aged 18 years dead, said Mishra.
The injured are undergoing treatment while the two bodies have been sent for post-mortem, the police added further.
