At least two people have been killed while three others got injured after a massive blast at factory in Maharashtra‘s Thane on Saturday afternoon.  

According to Thane Municipal Corporation officials, the blast took place while filling a gas container at a factory in the industrial area.

The police official said, “A tanker of nitrogen gas was brought to the company which was supposed to be filled with CS2 (Carbon disulfide), and the blast took place during the checking of the tanker.”

According to the police officials, injured have been rushed to nearest hospitals and people with critical condition have been shifted to Intensive Care Unit (ICU). However, it is yet to be ascertained that how many people were present at the site during the blast.

The search and rescue operations are still on.
