Trader Found Dead in Locked Flat; Dispute with Family Caused Mental Stress

On 12th March, a man was found dead in his flat in Kanpur, UP. the police found that the suicide was due to family stress and loneliness. The police found the man dead by hanging on the fan in his flat. According to the investigation report, no other suspicions were traced.  

Purushottam Jai Singhwani didn’t answer calls for a long time 

Purushottam Jai Singhwani, an eighty-five-year-old man, married and has a daughter, was a glass trader in his shop in Swaroop Nagar, Kanpur, UP. Due to family discourse, he lived alone in his flat in Harsh Nagar. At the same time, his wife and daughter lived in the maiden.

In the recent past, suspicions arose when Purushottam Jai Singhwani was not answering the calls or giving any response back. Hence, his brother Vasudev Jai Singhwani went over to the flat to check on his brother in person. He did not receive any response after knocking on the door for long enough, so he went to the police station for help. 

Police break down his door

As Vasudev Jai Singhwani went to the Nazirabad police station and explained the situation, the station in-charge, Kushalendra Pratap Singh, left for the spot with his force. After reaching the location, the police force breaks down the door to find Purushottam Jai Singhwani hung dead by the fan. 

Still investigated details

After finding Purushottam Jai Singhwani dead in his flat, the Nazirabad police started investigating. With the investigation, Purushottam Jai Singhwani was found three to four days after he died. At the place of the incident, apart from the body of Purushottam Jai Singhwani, nothing else was found suspicious, and hence the investigation confirmed that it was a suicide.

Further investigation showed that Purushottam Jai Singhwani was alone due to the dispute between his wife and daughter. And his wife and daughter were living in the maiden by themselves. And the police report further confirmed that his actions were due to loneliness and family stress.

The police gave the body of Purushottam Jai Singhwani for post-mortem for a clear report. The post-mortem report and the cause of death are kept confidential, along with the complete investigation report. It is also assured that Nazirabad police will take further investigation regarding Purushottam Jai Singhwani’s death.
