‘The Kerala Story’ continues to astound the business and also serves as a source of skepticism for a sizable portion of the sector, which is left in the dark about how this miracle occurred.

Starring Adah Sharma, ‘The Kerala Story’ is set to release in 37 countries on May 12. The film based on conversion has been making headlines since the movie is released. The total collection of the movie stands at Rs 68.86 crore at the box-office since its release on Friday. The film is leading to bans in some states while some are making it tax-free in their states.

West Bengal has outlawed the movie ‘The Kerala Story’, and Tamil Nadu multiplexes have ceased showing it because of the law-and-order situation. In contrast, BJP-ruled states like Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and Madhya Pradesh have granted The Kerala Story tax-free status.

After the chief minister of Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and Uttarakhand announced the movie to be tax-free, the chief minister of Haryana, Mahonar Lal Khattar also declared it tax-free in the state.

However, the makers of the film have filed a petition against the states who have decided to ban the film.

Taking it to Twitter, the lead actor of the movie, Adah Sharma has thanked the viewers for supporting ‘The Kerala Story.’ “Thank you to all the crores of you who are going to watch our film, thank you for making it a trend, thank you for loving my performance. This weekend the 12th #TheKeralaStory releases internationally in 37 countries (or more) #adahsharma,” the actor wrote in the post.
