The current unrest within the opposition Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance (INDIA) might take a backseat for a while as several leaders from the 28-member coalition are anticipated to attend Telangana Chief Minister-elect Revanth Reddy's inauguration on Thursday in Hyderabad.

According to the sources, beside INDIA bloc leaders, senior Congress leader Sonia Gandhi, Congress chief Mallikarjun Kharge will witness the ceremony. The oath ceremony will be held in Hyderabad LB Stadium in the afternoon.

According to Revanth Reddy's invitation, CPI General Secretary D Raja, Kunamneni Sambasiva Rao would attend the event. Sharing the pictures with the high command of Congress on Wednesday, Reddy invited all the top shots in oath ceremony. He tweeted, “To provide democratic and transparent governance in the state... To form a government for the welfare of the weaker sections, dalit, tribal, minority, farmers, women and youth. With all your blessings, Praja government is going to take oath on December 7, 2023 at 1.04 pm at Hyderabad LB Stadium. This is an invitation to all of you to come to this mahotsava.”

It is probable that D K Shivakumar, the deputy to Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, will also be present at the swearing-in ceremony. The party leadership designated Shivakumar as one of the AICC observers to oversee the CLP meeting in Hyderabad. According to State DGP Ravi Gupta, appropriate plans have been taken for traffic and other issues to ensure that the general public is inconvenienced as little as possible.

According to media reports Congress MLA-elect and CLP leader in the previous Assembly Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka is likely to take oath as deputy chief minister.

Security measures for the ceremony

Over 1,500 police personnel, including the Telangana State Service Police (TSSP), Law and Order, Armed Reserve (AR) Forces, Traffic and other departments, have been deployed for making it a hassle free event for all.
