Anumula Revanth Reddy on Thursday took oath as Chief Minister of Telangana, becoming the first Congress CM of the youngest state in India. He is the third chief minister of the state since the formation of the state.

Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan administered the oath of office to him at the sprawling Lal Bahadur Shastri Stadium in Hyderabad. Bhatti Vikramarka Mallu took oath as the Deputy chief minister.

Gaddam Prasad Kumar took charge as the Speaker of the Telangana Legislative Assembly.

Congress national president Mallikarjun Kharge, Congress Parliamentary Party Chairperson Sonia Gandhi, Party leader Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi, Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah and Deputy CM DK Shivakumar were present at the swearing-in ceremony.
While speaking to media persons ahead of the swearing in ceremony, DK Shivakumar said "We will implement the guarantees. We are committed to whatever we have spoken."

A special performance by folk artists was performed outside Hyderabad's LB stadium ahead of the oath-taking ceremony of Revanth Reddy as Telangana CM.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated Revanth Reddy, on taking oath as the Chief Minister of Telangana and assured him for all possible help for the growth of the state.
