Telangana Assembly Elections 2023: On the concluding day of his campaign in Telangana, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi affirmed his unwavering stance, declaring a resolute fight against Prime Minister Narendra Modi, terming it a "battle of ideology."
As Telangana gears up for voting on November 30, Rahul Gandhi, in his closing remarks, emphasised the ideological struggle that transcends personal compromises.
Addressing the crowd, Gandhi spoke of facing multiple legal challenges and reiterated his commitment to battling the animosity within the heart of PM Modi. He recounted legal battles across Assam, Gujarat, Bihar, and Maharashtra, highlighting the personal sacrifices in the name of ideology.
Expressing his mission to eradicate hatred from the country, Gandhi asserted that defeating PM Modi is a prerequisite for achieving this goal.
Taking a swipe at Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR), Gandhi reminded him of the Congress's contributions to the development of the region, including educational institutions and infrastructure.
Gandhi outlined the Congress party's promises, including monthly financial support to women, reduced gas cylinder costs, free bus rides for women, financial aid to farmers and labourers, 24-hour free electricity for farmers, housing schemes, and support for senior citizens.
Reflecting on the 2018 Assembly elections, where the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) secured a significant victory, Gandhi underscored the need to defeat KCR's party, asserting that it is a crucial step towards challenging PM Modi at the national level.
As Telangana braces for the upcoming elections, Rahul Gandhi's unwavering commitment to an ideological battle and the Congress party's promises set the tone for a competitive political landscape in the state.
