Hyderabad: In a heart-wrenching incident, a two-year-old girl was allegedly run over by a school bus in the Habsiguda area of Hyderabad on Thursday. The infants family alleged that the bus driver was driving rashly and did not notice the child.According to the police, the 19-month-old girl, identified as Jewalanna Midhun, was accompanied by her father to the pick-up point to see her elder brother off to school. The bus carried students from a private school in Habsiguda.Reportedly, The bus driver was booked in a case of causing death due to negligence, the police said. The bus helper, M. Rani, was also booked for failing to alert the driver about the girl.This incident occurred at 8:10 am in the Habsiguda, Street number 8. A case will be registered, The father of the girl has complained. The driver is in our custody, the police added.Amid this incident, a wide protest was held near the school over the incident demanding strict action against the bus driver.Further, investigation is still underway.
