A shocking incident happened in Tamil Nadu, after a couple, who had married against the wishes of their families, was murdered three days after their wedding, said the police.Newlywed couple killed in Tamil NaduReportedly, a gang of five men entered the couples house at around 6 pm on Thursday, hacked them to death and then fled from the spot.Mari Selvam (24) and Karthika (20) were in a relationship for the past two years.The duo eloped and married against their families wishes on October 31. They had been living together in Murugesan Nagar since their wedding.Upon receiving information about the couples killing, the police immediately rushed to the incident spot, following which their bodies were subsequently sent to the Thoothukudi Government Hospital for autopsy.6 men involved in this caseAccording to the initial probe, at least six men were said to be involved in this murder who arrived at the couples house on two bikes.Speaking on this murder case, District Superintendent of Police Balaji and Rural Deputy Superintendent of Police Suresh arrived at the crime scene to assess the situation.Three special teams have been formed to catch the culprits, said the police.Further investigation is underway, they added.
