At least 8 persons, including two children, were killed in a road accident on the Tiruvannamalai-Bengaluru highway in Tamil Nadu on Sunday, police said.The accident took place when a car and a truck collided while the occupants of the car were returning to Bengaluru after visiting a temple in Tamil Nadu.The cause of the accident is still being investigated by the police and four men and a woman, besides the two children, were killed on the spot, Chengam town police said.Moreover, another woman who was rushed to the hospital died during treatment and in total eight persons were killed, the police added.
