The much-awaited art and culture fiesta organised by the Government of India in collaboration with Swar Dharohar Foundation, started at India Gate on Saturday evening.

The event dedicated to various soulful genres of music saw an amalgamation of instrumental, sufi and Bollywood.

The event started with the lighting of lamp which was then followed by different performances. Violinist Deepak Pandit performed on the Swar Dharohar stage. He presented some of the most beautiful renditions of the evening. Post this, Fareed Hassan and Mehboob Hussain engaged the enthusiastic audience with their performance. The Dilli Gharana duo kept the musical momentum of the evening alive throughout their renditions. After that, talented budding singer Ahmed Husain Sabri performed on the stage. His Sufi rendition was then followed by a scintillating performance by Altamash Faridi who is credited to have sung some of the most soulful songs in Bollywood films.
