About Swar Dharohar Foundation

The Foundation was laid down by a revolutionary bunch of artists in 2006. According to Foundation’s secretary Salim Siddiqui, “the aim was to create a safe space as well as a global platform for young artists while at the same time, popularising Indian art, music and its heritage.” Siddiqui has been tirelessly working towards the same goal in past two decades. Ghulam Mohammad Khan, President, Swar Dharohar Foundation stated, “Foundation’s long-term goal is to create ‘Swar Dharohar Guru Bhumi’, a music university which will act as a hub for learning different forms of art under one roof, where the ‘guru shishya parampara’ will find its renewal.

Meanwhile, Swar Dharohar Festival, organised by the government along with the foundation has JBT and Sapphire Media Limited as sponsors.
