Delhi witnesses a sudden change of weather as rain lashes parts of Delhi-NCR on the intervening night of Thursday and Friday bringing relief from the deteriorating air quality. As air pollution griped the national capital, this sudden rainfall brought much-needed respite to the residents of the city.
According to media reports, the area of the Kartavya Path and the Delhi-Noida border recorded light to moderate-intensity rain showers.

The rain coincides with the Delhi government’s ongoing efforts to conduct artificial rain in order to curb the air pollution choking the city.
On Thursday, the AAP government had decided to carry out the ‘artificial rain’ plan and ministers were also appointed to ensure the anti-pollution measures. Many ministers were also seen making rounds of the city as a part of the implementation process.
Delhi-NCR is currently seeing the implementation of Stage IV of the Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP) after the national capital’s air quality dropped to the ‘severe plus’ category.
