Student stabbed to death on camera in Delhi, 2 arrested

While speaking to the media on Monday, the father of the Delhi University student who was murdered outside of his college cried. Nikhil Chauhan, a 19-year-old student, was fatally stabbed on Sunday in front of DU’s Aryabhatta College.

Sanjay, the father of the murdered youngster, was seen sobbing in a video released by the news agency ANI on Monday.

According to the information, police have arrested two people in connection with the killing of a first-year student from Delhi University’s Aryabhatta College. The accused were identified as Rahul and Haroon, residents of Delhi’s Bindapur and Janakpuri, respectively.

As per the sources, Nikhil was a first-year student of BA Honours in Political Science and was a resident of Paschim Vihar.

Manoj C, the deputy commissioner of police for South West Delhi, claims that a few days back Nikhil and his girlfriend argued with other students, who misbehaved with her, named Rahul and Yash as the students who got into a fight with Nikhil on Monday.

To get revenge, Rahul and his friends stabbed Nikhil on Sunday in front of the campus gate. He was carried to Charak Palika Hospital in Moti Bagh, where medical staff declared him dead.

Following the event, a case was filed, and police claimed to have located the defendant. To determine the sequence of events, police authorities also stated that they will go at CCTV cameras placed at and around the murder site.
