We are fully prepared for the programme,” Deputy Speaker Momin Said.The new building boasts advanced features, including plans for the e-Vidhan system which would allow for paperless legislation, making it the first modern assembly in Assam.“The new [assembly] building has new features. We are planning for e-Vidhan that is also very shortly will have in the new building. It will be a very modern assembly in Assam for the first time. Next assembly session will be held in the new building,” Momin said.The construction of the building began during the Congress regime, with some redesigning taking place subsequently. However, it gained momentum under the current government, leading to its completion and subsequent inauguration today.“After our government has come, we have intensified the works and on July 30 the new building will be inaugurated,” Momin added.
