Former Indian cricket team captain, Sourav Ganguly has accepted the offer to become the Brand Ambassador of Tripura Tourism. The information was made public through the social media handle of the Chief Minister of Tripura, Manik Saha.
As per sources, after the acceptance of the offer, the chief minister spoke to Ganguly over the telephone. Reports say, that the tourism minister of the state, Sushanta Chowdhury met the former Indian cricket team Captain at his Behala residence, where Ganguly happily accepted the proposal.
The tourist department reports that the conversation was also joined by Uttam Kumar Chakma, director and secretary of Tripura tourist, as well as Tapan Kumar Chakma.
Taking it to Twitter, CM Saha, thanked Ganguly for accepting the offer, “It’s a matter of great pride that former captain of Indian cricket team Shri Sourav Ganguly Ji has accepted our proposal to be the Brand Ambassador of Tripura Tourism. Had a telephone conversation with him today. I am confident that Shri Ganguly Ji’s participation will give an impetus to the state’s tourism sector. @SGanguly99”
