Prime Minister Narendra Modi will embark on a Telangana visit on Saturday. The PM will lay the foundation of the foundation for the redevelopment of the Secunderabad railway station in Telangana today. According to the Prime Ministers Office, the project will cost Rs 720 crore and will involve a major makeover with world-class amenities and an aesthetically designed iconic station building.Prime Minister Modi will also lay the groundwork for numerous other development project works that will be done in order to improve and modernise the projects during his visit to Telangana. It is envisaged that the projects renovation will feature amenities that will meet passengers needs for the ensuing 40 years.According to the plans disclosed by the PM office, the redevelopment of the station would have a double-level spacious roof plaza with all passengers amenities in one place along with multimodal connectivity for providing seamless transfer of passengers from rail to other modes among others. Other improvements include raising the stations building space from its present 11,427 square metres to 61,912 square metres to modernise it to worldwide standards. A special 108-meter, two-level air concourse connecting the terminal building and all platforms will also be available at the station.Along with this PM, Modi will also flag off the Secunderabad-Tirupati Vande Bharat Express at Secunderabad railway station. This line of Vande Bharat will connect IT city Hyderabad with the Adobe of Lord Venkateshwara, Tirupati, which is the Second Vande Bharat train to be started from Telangana within a short period of three months. The train will reduce the travel time by almost three and a half hours between the two cities. The passenger who will travel the pilgrimage will get benefitted.During the programme, PM Modi will flag off 13 new Multi-modal Transport Service (MMTS) services in the suburban of the Hyderabad-Secundrabad twin city, this will not only provide commuters with fast and convenient but comfortable journeys also.To give the stations a beautiful appearance and world-class amenities with elegant features, the Ministry of Railways has undertaken the famous project of “Redevelopment of Railway Stations.” As part of it, M/s. Girdharilal Construction Private Limited was given the contract to upgrade the Secunderabad station by South Central Railway (SCR). The project was granted in the EPC form, and its completion is anticipated within 36 months, or by October 2025. The total cost to complete this project is Rs 699 crores. To complete the work within the stipulated time, the necessary ground works have already been started. In the first stage, IIT Delhi has been appointed as the Proof consultant to evaluate the structure of the building.Additionally, a topographic survey of the area has been done, providing comprehensive information about the place. It is done to determine the elevation of the surface that is suggested at various levels, such as the basement, ground floor, mezzanine, first floor and first floor levels. As part of the stations redevelopment, architects also use the topographical study to generate a 3D model of the proposed building structure, Sky concourse, FOBs, etc.Other Projects in TelanganaDuring his visit, PM Modi will also inaugurate the doubling and electrification of the Secundrabad-Mahabubnagar project. The project will cover a distance of over 85 kilometres and will cost around Rs 1,410 crore. According to the official statement by the PMO, this project will provide seamless connectivity and assist in enhancing the average speed of the trains.Later in the day, PM Modi will also lay the foundation stone for AIIMS Bibinagar at a public programme at Parade Ground in Hyderabad. The project will cost more than Rs 1,350 crore. This will be a milestone in providing health services to the people of Telangana.
