After incessant rains, keeping the safety in mind, all the school and colleges have been shut on Monday in Kerala’s Thiruvananthapuram. The heavy downpour has triggered flood-like situations and landslides several areas across the city.
Apart from this, heavy rains continue in state affecting other parts also. Meanwhile, India Meteorological Department has issued yellow alert in 12 districts today except Kannur and Kasaragod. As water entered in the houses, people have been shifted from water logged regions of Kazhakootam, Thiruvananthapuram.

Red alert has been issued for Trivandrum by IMD.

According to the images, hundreds of homes in the district had water enter them, and there were even landslip occurrences in certain places.
The Central Water Commission further issued a flood warning for three rivers in the district of Thiruvananthapuram. It is valid for the district’s Karamana, Neyyar, and Vamanapuram rivers.
