Supreme Court on Wednesday has issued notices to Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, and Delhi governments, amid protest marches and demonstrations being organised against the violence in Haryana’s Nuh on July 31.

The notice has been issued by the court on a plea over Haryana violence. According to the information, a bench of Justices Sanjiv Khanna and SVN Bhatti were hearing the plea and set August 4 as the next hearing date.

The bench of Supreme Court during the hearing stated, “There should be no hate speech, no violence if required, deploy additional forces, CCTV cameras to be installed and everything recorded to be preserved.”

Meanwhile, workers of Bajrang Dal and Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) protested in several parts of Delhi on Wednesday against the violence that broke out in the Nuh district of neighbouring Haryana.

On Wednesday morning, the protest was staged near Nirman Vihar Metro station and Ghonda Chowk in Delhi. Apart from this, reports of blocking roads in Faridabad were also reported. The protesters also raised the slogans.

In wake of protest called by both the groups, Delhi Police swung into action and ensured heavy security deployment in the area.

Notably, the tension gripped Nuh district in Haryana on July 31 after two groups clashed during a procession. After the clashes, security has also been tightened in Faridabad, Palwal, and Gurugram.

Meanwhile, ML Khattar, chief minister of Haryana, informed on Wednesday that Haryana police have made 116 arrests in Nuh violence so far.

Haryana CM also tweeted, “I will not allow the peace and communal harmony of the state to deteriorate at any cost. Every single culprit of Nuh incident will be brought to their end through the law. And every damage done there will be compensated by the rioters and it will also be recovered from them.”
