The former Indian cricket teams captain is all set to start a new venture as he enters into the stell industry by establishing his steel factory in Salboni in Paschim Medinipur of West Bengal.On her 12-day journey to Dubai and Spain, Mamata Banerjee is traveling with Saurav Ganguly. In a speech on September 14 at the “Bengal Global Business Summit (BGBS)” in Madrid, Ganguly stated that the state-of-the-art facility would be completed in about a year.The plant will be be built with an investment of Rs 2,500 crore and will create jobs for at least 6,000 people, “The initial investment will be Rs 2,500 crore. To begin with, it will result in job creation for around 6,000 people and then we will ramp up and another 50 per cent will be added to the workforce”.Sourav Ganguly had to travel to Madrid to announce infront of Mamata Banerjee he is opening a Steel factory in West Bengal. Let me tell you from my experience that the entire procedure only took 4-5 months, and Im not just saying that just beacuse Im traveling with the chief minister”, remarked Ganguly.Mamata Banerjee, the chief minister, also addresed the gathering to scout for Spanish investments in Bengal and to extend invitations to businessperson from that nation to attend the sixth Bengal Global Business Summit.
