Robbers loot Rs 20 cr jewellery from store in Dehradun

Some unidentified robbers looted gold and silver jewellery worth Rs 20 crore from a jewellery store in Uttarakhand's Dehradun. According to the police officials, the incident took place on Thursday at Reliance Jewellery showroom near the Police Headquarters and Secretariat on VIP Rajpur Road.

Police discovered throughout their inquiry that four criminals had entered the showroom while one had remained outside. Subsequently, they made 11 workers, including the security guard hostage, and took over the store, robbing gold and silver jewellery valued at over Rs 20 crore.

Speaking on the incident, Ajay Singh, Senior Superintendent of Police in Dehradun said that the robbers, who looted gold and silver jewellery worth about Rs 20 crore, left the bike and ran away after getting information from the police due to checking at various places. Police have recovered two bikes of the robbers.

Meanwhile, the investigation in connection with the case is underway following the clues found from CCTV footage.
