The chief minister Devendra Fadnavis informed the Legislative Assembly that among the Koyta (scythe) gang arrestees juveniles make up 70% since they want to be known as 'dada' and seek excitement by participating in criminal activities. The accepted drugs by CM work as an incentive for juvenile criminals to commit crimes after promising justice against those who exploit them for criminal activities.
The government official confirmed nine criminal cases have been submitted to legal authorities regarding the Koyta gang attackers across Pune and Pimpri-Chinchwad with nineteen distinct offenders named in the documents. The statistics show that 13 youths participated in these crimes according to the official but no recognized criminal organization conducts these operations. Most defendants who need to be prosecuted fall between ages 15 and 16 but evidence shows no existence of organized criminal organizations. Juvenile offender handlers can receive charges under provisions of Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita. In his opinion primary suspects will get assigned to those who issue criminal orders and direct such activities.
Hadapsar MLA Chetan Tupe of NCP says criminals maintain children under drug influence to execute their assigned criminal duties. During the police interception operation a large quantity valued at ₹1.5 crore worth of mephedrone sulfate (termine) injection products were recovered. The distribution network of drugs similar to those listed serves the Pune and Pimpri-Chinchwad Paan shop zone. The police investigation shows Nigerians participate in these criminal operations. In his perspective the police must examine these crimes from a drug-related perspective.
Fadnavis pointed out drug peddling as a customary practice of juvenile offender handlers before state police started their major drug distribution targeted operation. Throughout the last three years state authorities have confiscated broad drug quantities across the entire state. Pan shops along with courier services faced state authority investigations because of their involvement in drug distribution activities. The state administration of Maharashtra established a financial unit known as the FIU to lead investigations into Ponzi schemes as well as unrealistic investment deals for investor fraud protection. Thanks to the Maharashtra Protection of Investors (In financial establishments) Act the government facilitates money recovery for investors by conducting institutional asset liquidations. The future prevention of Ponzi schemes will result from FIU involvement under the leader's assessment of tracking and investigating possible cheating operations.
