Three people died in a MiG-21 fighter jet crash in Hanumangarh, Rajasthan, according to Additional Superintendent of Police Jassaram Bose’s report. However, District Collector Rukmani Riar has reported that the plane’s pilot survived the accident unharmed.

According to reports, the MiG-21 jet’s crash location was in Hanumangarh’s Dabli neighbourhood. The Indian Air Force experiences the most crashes with this kind of aircraft, including all of its variants. Numerous investigations into such incidents were done as a result of the MiG-21’s poor safety record. Over 170 pilots have died in similar incidents, according to the Defence Ministry’s official figures. More than 20 aircraft have crashed in the last ten years, and 38 aircraft have crashed between 2003 and 2013, earning the nickname “Flying Coffin” for the type of aircraft.
