The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will be holding a legislative party meeting in Rajasthan on Tuesday as the suspense over the new chief minister continues. This meeting is expected to culminate in the selection and announcement of Rajasthan’s Chief Minister.
The BJP won a majority in the recent Rajasthan assembly elections, securing 115 out of 199 seats.

The suspense over who will be the new Chief Minister has been ongoing for several days, with several names being floated in the media. The BJP's central leadership has appointed observers to oversee the legislative party meeting and ensure a smooth selection process. Defence minister Rajnath Singh has been appointed as observer by the party, and two co-observers – Vinod Tawde and Saroj Pande – will arrive on Tuesday morning for the meeting which will be held at 4pm at the party office.

It is likely that the party will announce the name of the new chief minister for the state after the meeting concludes.

Some of the frontrunners for the position include:

Vasundhara Raje: Former Chief Minister of Rajasthan (2013-2018)
Gajendra Singh Shekhawat: Union Minister of Jal Shakti
Satish Poonia: President of BJP Rajasthan unit
