Amid questions being arisen after a delay in the formation of the state government, Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma and his two deputies, Diya Kumari and Prem Chand Bairwa were sworn in on December 15, and now state cabinet expansion is likely to take place on Saturday at Raj Bhavan in Jaipur.

The sources claim that between eighteen and twenty MLAs would be sworn in as ministers. Sharma's cabinet will have a mix of fresh and seasoned MLAs. It is also speculated that three MPs turned MLAs will also find a place in the cabinet.

Caste and regional relations will receive special consideration in Rajasthan's cabinet enlargement, especially in light of the upcoming Lok Sabha elections in a few months. While expanding the cabinet, care will be made to guarantee that all regions are represented, and social engineering will be carried out concurrently to guarantee that all major castes are fully represented as well.

Bhajan Lal Sharma, the current chief minister of Rajasthan, is a Brahmin, and Diya Kumari and Prem Chand Bairwa, the deputy chief ministers, are members of the Rajput and Scheduled Caste, respectively. The Jat, Meena, and Gurjar clans are the main castes with importance in Rajasthan; other communities are also thought to be guaranteed a spot in the cabinet.

In the meantime, reports say that CM Sharma arrived in the nation's capital earlier on Friday and met with senior party leaders to discuss expanding the cabinet to take the final approval for the cabinet faces.
