The high-profile event was also graced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, BJP supremo JP Nadda, and several others. The oath ceremony will take place at Jaipur’s iconic Albert Hall.

A host of senior BJP figures and party chief ministers attended today's swearing-in ceremony of Rajasthan's new head Bhajan Lal Sharma.

Notable political guests included the incumbent state leaders of Goa, Tripura, Maharashtra, Gujarat and Uttarakhand.

They joined Prime Minister Modi alongside ex-Rajasthan CM Vasundhara Raje in bearing witness to the symbolic transition of power.

Sharma seeks holy blessings

Ahead of taking office, Chief Minister-elect Sharma embarked on a pilgrimage across temples in the state capital Jaipur. Flanked by family and supporters, he received blessings after performing rituals and feeding cows at local religious sites.

Sharma proceeded to briefly return to his Balaji Tower residence seeking his parents’ favourable wishes before departure to the prestigious inauguration venue.

The presence of senior BJP leadership at the event demonstrated strong backing for the first-time MLA as he assumes the heavyweight mantle of the desert state’s newest leader.
