Sandeep Lohariya murder case

The Sessions Judge Ajit Kumar Hinger said that the prosecution has presented ample evidence to validate facts. The main accused Priya Seth (27), was a friend of Dushyant Sharma on dating app Tinder. She called him to a rented house where Priya and her two associates Dishkant Kamra and Lakshya Walia held Dushyant hostage and demanded ransom from his family.

On Saturday, The prosecution counselor Sandeep Lohariya said that Dushyant’s family failed to pay the amount in the given timeframe. After that, the accused stabbed him multiple times and smothered him with a pillow, which led to his death.

Quoting the judge, Lohariya said, "The prosecution has presented adequate evidence to authenticate these facts. The evidence presented by the prosecution proved that the accused have committed the crime."

Justice prevails

The court convicted the three accused under sections 342 (wrongful confinement), 302 (murder), 201 (removal of evidence of offense), and 120-B(criminal conspiracy) of the Indian Penal Code, and sentenced them to life imprisonment.

How did Priya Seth and her accompanies murder Dushyant?

Earlier in May 2018, Priya Seth and her accompanies planned to demand ransom from Sharma’s family. They demanded a ransom of Rs 10 lakh from Dushyant’s father. The victim’s father deposited Rs 3 lakh in his son’s account in order to fulfill the demand. The accused debited Rs 20,000 from an ATM near Nehru Udhyan, from Dushyant’s debit card and the accused killed Dushyant. The accused cut Dushyant’s body into several pieces and dumped them in a suitcase on Delhi Road. The accused feared that their crime would come to light.

Moreover, Priya Seth and Dishkant Kamra have a criminal history. Priya was arrested thrice in 2014, 2016, and 2017 for breaking an ATM while Dishkant was arrested once in Mumbai.
