A 20-year-old student from West Bengal preparing for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) for admission to undergraduate medical courses has committed suicide in Rajasthans coaching hub, Kota.The student was found dead in his room on Monday late night. According to the police officials, the resident has been living in Kotas Waqf Nagar area for the preparation of the competitive exam from last one year. The accused has been identified as Forid.According to authorities, he was found hanging in his room last night. After being taken to a hospital, he was declared dead by the medical staff. Police have been informed by other students who resided in the rented housing where Forid was staying that they last saw him at 4 PM. They set off an alarm when he remained in his room till 7 PM and did not respond to their calls. At that moment, the landlord called the police.However, no suicide note has been found from the incident spot. With this the death toll has come to 28 in Kota. The rising number of suicide cases in Kota has sparked a conversation about the stress level of a student for a competitive exam. Determined to the check the trend, the state administration has asked the coaching centres to go by the guidelines and assure that students are stress free.
