In a tragic incident with a faulty swing, a 10-year-old died after a swing’s rope got wrapped around his neck while playing in Baran district of Rajasthan on Tuesday, police said.

According to the police the family had just welcomed the young boy’s newborn sibling to the house and the swing was installed for the baby in his house in Chabra town.

Sub-Inspector, Chabra police station, Chuttan Lal said that the young boy, Aadil was playing with other children in house when the rope of the swing knotted around his neck. Following this, he vomited blood and fell unconscious.

Police immediately rushed to Aadil’s place after receiving the information and took Aadil to the hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead, he said.

After the post-mortem the body was handed over to the boy’s family, the Sub-Inspector said.
